GFC Summer Camp - Fishing 101

FISHING 101 (JULY 2021)

In partnership with the Granville Recreation Commission and the Licking Park District, the Granville Fishing Club hosted a week long fishing camp in July (2021) for 4th - 6th graders. Ten youth anglers participated along with 3 members of the HS GFC. Over the 5 two-hour sessions, the young anglers learned fish identification and natural history along with proper fish handling, knot tying, use of equipment and  various forms of tackle,  Conditions were tough and Mirror Lake is highly pressured, but the anglers were still able to put their news skills to work and have some success!
