While the pandemic limited his participation his sophomore year, he competed in several intercollegiate events his Freshman, Junior and Senior years. In the spring of 2022, Jason and his partner competed in the Strike King Bassmaster College Series event on Saginaw Bay. They finished 28th out of 183 boats with a two day total of 32-2. Grant Masterson, fished competitively under the banner of the Hartley Hawgs for several years. While he fished and placed in several tournaments, his greatest accomplishment was a second place finish in the TBF Ohio State Championship of Delaware Lake, which qualified him for the High School National Championship for the second year in a row.
In their Junior year, the team of Grady Galbreath and Luca Walter, fishing under the banner of the Hartley Hawgs, competed in TBF Ohio State Championship at Rocky Fork Lake. In spite of the slow bite, they were able to weigh in several fish over the two day tournament; and gained some great experience and memories.
